Nestled along the banks of the scenic Salmon Falls River near South Berwick, Maine is 250 acres of forested ground known as Vaughan Woods State Park. This is an ideal place to hike or picnic among the old growth stands of pine and hemlock.

The area is lush with green trees that tower over visitors and provide ample shade on sunny days. Take along a picnic lunch and enjoy the serenity of the Park. There are several hiking trails that connect to one another and together form a three plus mile loop. You can choose to take the entire hike or to do just shorter sections.

Vaughan Woods State Park is open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The area is a day use area and a fee is charged for entrance.
