Weddings within Acadia National Park

Wedding ceremonies can be held at a number of park locations. Wedding receptions, however, are limited to concession facilities only. Here are a few wedding reception venues that are within park boundaries.

Wedding Permit

You must apply for a wedding permit at least 10 days before your wedding. A $50 fee is required and the permit application is available online. Ceremonies with less than 10 people are not required to obtain a permit.

Marriage License

Marriage Licenses are valid in any Maine community for a period of 90 days. Maine residents must apply in the city where they reside. Out-of-state residents may apply in any Maine city. For more information visit the Bar Harbor Government Website.
