In addition to the hiking, biking, climbing and swimming available in Bar Harbor, you will also find famous and historic golf courses, which will test your skill and patience. One of the historic courses began as a simple six-hole course in 1893 and has now developed into an 18-hole championship course. The primary problem with golfing in such a scenic area is that you may have trouble concentrating on your game when you are surrounded by such beauty.

You will not only enjoy the beautiful scenery at the historic golf courses, in general, the fees are fairly affordable. Many of the golf resorts feature a number of different reasonable packages, which include a tee time, lodging and meals.
