Top 10 Ways Visitors can be Sustainable While Traveling:
1. Plan electronically. Take the time to plan a trip without a paper trail. The less paper wasted the better. Most tourism based businesses accept electronic reservations and transactions. Use our websites. We have helped over 5 million visitors and counting to plan a paperless vacation.
2. Remember your 3 R's: Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. Help your destination community to continue the systems they already have in place. Be a respectful visitor.
3. Reuse your linens. Most lodging accommodations recommend reusing your bed linens and towels. Saving water used to wash them is a great way to be a sustainable traveler.
4. Bring your own. By bringing your own toiletries in reusable containers you are helping eliminating the waste of extra plastic and paper wrapping.
5. Reduce your CO2 footprint. Use public transportation, bike or walk whenever possible to cut back on unnecessary emissions. Think about your carbon footprint when booking your flights or planning any trip. Try using the
