Downeast Maine Attractions
As the home to Acadia National Park, the Down East region of Main is a major vacation destination for tourists, primarily in the summer and fall. One of the smallest Parks in the National Park System, Acadia ranks fifth in the number of visitors each year. In addition to the Park, there are many diverse area attractions. You will find museums, a zoo, golf parks, unique shops, restaurants that feature local seafood, and a variety of regional crafts.
