The high-speed ferry service between Bar Harbor, Maine and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia provides a unique travel experience. The most well known of the ferries is the CAT. This phenomenon flies on the water at highway speeds. The CAT can carry 775 passengers, 250 cars and 14 motor homes or tour buses.

The CAT runs from June to mid October. It is strongly recommended to make advance reservations. This high-speed ferry is so innovative that the CAT has become a major attraction in itself at each of its ports of call.
