Hulls Cove Visitor Center, Acadia

The Hulls Cove Visitor Center is one of a number of entry points to Acadia National Park.

Location

It is located on Route 233(Eagle Lake Road) off Rte 3, just North of Bar Harbor, Maine. The visitor center can be reached by Phone: (207) 288-3338.

Hours/Seasons

Open April 15 to October 31. Closed November 1 through April 14.

• April 15 - June 30: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• July - August: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• September: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• October - 8 a.m. -  4:30 p.m.

• A free 15-minute audiovisual program
• Varieties of free publications, pamphlets and brochures, including the Beaver Log (Park Newspaper)
• Books, and maps, for purchase
• Talk with courteous, experienced and educated Rangers to help you plan your trip
• View a three dimensional map of the island and several animal exhibits on display
• Purchase educational material or memorabilia from the gift shop and book store
• For the kids, check out the Junior Ranger program.

Park Entrance Fees

Entrance fees are required between May 1 and October 31. 

• Entrance Pass - $20 June 23-early October; $10 May 1-June 22 and early October-October 31. This pass is good for the occupants of one non-commercial vehicle for seven days.
• Individual Entrance Pass - $5 This pass is for one individual (pedestrian, motorcycle, bicycle, etc.) for seven days.
• Acadia Annual Pass - $40 Access of one non-commercial vehicle and occupants for one year from date of purchase.
• America the Beautiful Annual Pass - $80 This pass provides access to, and use of, federal recreation sites that charge an entrance fee for a year.
• Senior Pass - $10 This lifetime pass is for U.S. citizens age 62 or over and provides access to federal recreation sites. It provides 50% discount on some fees charged for facilities and services such as camping but does not reduce special recreation permit fees or concessionaires.
• Access Pass - free This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens with permanent disabilities (documentation required). The pass provides lifetime access to federal recreation sites. It provides 50% discount on some fees charged for facilities and services such as camping but does not reduce special recreation permit fees or concessionaires.
• Volunteer Pass - free (service required) This pass is for volunteers acquiring 500 service hours on a cumulative basis. The pass provides access to federal recreation sites that charge an entrance for a year.
