The hike up Sargent Mountain in Acadia National Park is designed to make the ascent as easy as possible. It is not a direct assault, but more of a traversing path from the bottom to the summit. You can pull off Route 3 and park in the Norembega Mountain parking lot and attack the mountain on the Brook Trail. The distance on this trail is just over 2 miles, which makes the entire loop just over 4 miles in length. Along the way, you will be mesmerized by the beautiful scenery including the Waterfall Bridge. The Trail up Sargent Mountain continually crosses the stream as it traverses its way to the top. The top portion of the trail is the toughest, but well worth the effort. From the Summit of Sargent Mountain, you can see the Appalachian Mountains. The vistas of the surroundings of Acadia National Park are memorable. This is just one of many places from which to enjoy incredible views of Acadia.
