Park Fees

An entrance fee is charged to enter Acadia National Park from May 1 through October 31. The remainder of the year, no entrance fee is charged. Once you enter the Park, additional fees may be charged if you plan to camp or to participate in any of the Park Sponsored programs.

Entrance Fees - Private (valid for seven (7) days, including the date of purchase) 

  • Private Vehicle Permit: $20
  • Individual Permit (For an individual entering by foot, bicycle or motorcycle): $5

Entrance Fees – Commercial Tour (Commercial Tour Fees are determined by the capacity of a vehicle not the number of passengers) All fees listed below are good for one entrance into Acadia National Park.

  • Commercial Sedan Tour - $25 $5/person
    Passenger capacity one to six.
  • Commercial Van Tour - $50
    Commercial tour van with a passenger capacity of seven to fifteen.
  • Commercial Mini-Bus - $60
    Commercial tour mini-bus with a passenger capacity of 16 to 25.
  • Commercial Tour Bus - $150
    Commercial tour bus with a passenger capacity of 26 or more.

Annual Recreation Pass:

  • Acadia National Park Annual Pass: $40
    Valid for 12 months of unlimited visits to Acadia National Park
  • America the Beautiful Annual Pass: $80
    Valid for 12 months of unlimited visits to all National Parks

Lifetime Pass:

  • America the Beautiful Senior Pass: $10
    Lifetime access to all National Parks for individuals over 62 years.
  • America the Beautiful Access Pass: Free
    Lifetime access to all National Parks for individuals with permanent disabilities.

Camping (per night)

Blackwoods Campground:

  • $20 (May-October)
  • $10 (April and November)
  • Free (December-March)

Seawall Campground:

  • $14 walk-in
  • $20 drive-in

Ranger-Led Programs :

The majority of Ranger-led programs are free; however, there are a few that charge an additional fee to cover expenses.

  • Beyond the Beach: $10 adults, $5 children 5-12, free under 5
  • Knowing the Night: $10 adults, $5 children 8-12
  • Riding the Roads: $15 adults, $10 youth 14-16
  • Boat Cruises: Prices vary

Other activities may require permits if there is any potential for interference with visitor use, congestion of a highly visited area, or possible impact on park resources. It is best to check with the Acadia National Park Headquarters before planning your trip.
